Commenting on the launch of the three-day super sale, Accor VP Australia, Simon McGrath, said the super sale would provide a significant stimulus to Australia’s domestic tourism market.
“In the recent Government economic stimulus package, it was identified that using the cash benefits to take local holidays was one of the most effective and immediate ways of stimulating the economy and helping preserve or create jobs,” said Simon McGrath.
“With an unprecedented range of cheap airfares, and now cheap hotel rooms, short-break and longer holidays have never been more affordable.
“Australians are looking for good value holidays in this difficult economic climate and these special rates will allow couples and families to get away for a quality holiday without breaking the bank.
“It will be a welcome shot in the arm for local tourism and all the businesses that rely on the industry for income and jobs.”
