Families that like to Fly Qantas will be pleased to know that the Frequent Flyer program has increased its Any Seat Awards to include more destinations that families like to travel with the kids.
Qantas Frequent Flyer today announced the expansion of Qantas Any Seat Awards* to include 100 new destinations across Africa, Asia, the Americas, Europe and the Middle East.
Qantas Frequent Flyer CEO Simon Hickey said this expansion provides greater choice for Qantas Frequent Flyer members who already benefit from being part of Australia’s premier loyalty program.
“Until now, Qantas Any Seat Awards were available for travel on Qantas and Jetstar services only.
Members wishing to fly onward to destinations not covered on the Qantas or Jetstar network previously needed to make a separate booking and use another form of payment for onward travel, “ said Mr Hickey.
“This enhancement means greater choice and flexibility for our members, it opens up an extensive range of new travel options and provides members with the opportunity to travel on Qantas and other selected airlines, entirely on points.
“For example, a member wanting to travel from Australia to Europe can book a Qantas Any Seat Award to fly Qantas to London and then continue onto Milan, Prague, St Petersburg or Dublin on another airline as part of the same booking, using their Qantas Frequent Flyer points for the full journey.” Qantas Frequent Flyer members will also find it easier to book their trips on qantas.com. Now when members visit qantas.com to book a flight with money, they will be presented with an additional option to use points or Points Plus Pay.
Mr Hickey said the enhancements to Qantas Any Seat Awards and the booking facility on qantas.com provide even greater flexibility for members in redeeming points with Qantas Frequent Flyer.
“Providing members with more opportunities to earn points and more flexibility in redeeming them have been key drivers of these enhancements and other recent program improvements,” said Mr Hickey.
