Perfect Destination Fiji (Part 2)

mast_mamanucasAn update to a previous post. With so much choice it was easy to see how the “family booking advisor”  can get confused about choosing the perfect Fijian vacation with the kids,  especially when there is not much more to pay for five star accommodation.

So just recapping the basics for what was required on our quest to find the perfect holiday for our friend. They want a family holiday in Fiji at around $1500 per person. Destinations -  Malolo Resort, Castaway or a spot on Denuare Island the  travel period last week of April 2009.  Would like all inclusive if possible, must be suitable for family with a baby and have access to activities for dad like fishing.

Okay, so here is what we have been able to source for our “tired out executive” who is looking for a break in Fiji.

Booking Agent Malolo Resort Castaway or Treasure
Denuare Island
Virgin Blue Holidays $4680 $3564.26 Treasure $3950 Westin
Travel.com.au N/A N/A $3334 Westin
Expedia.com.au $5275 $5,645.56 castaway $3,636.28 Westin
Qantas Holidays $2820* + Flights $3,547.40  Westin

* Does not include flights, price includes all meals offer ends 31 March, Best Flights for this period are priced at $603 return total with taxes – $1,375.43

Verdict – If our tired executive can book by 31 March the best deals seem to be via Qantas Holidays where they can secure all inclusive deals with meals, accommodation and standard resort activities included in the price. Flights will need to be purchase on top.  Our pick Malolo Resort plus picking up flights through Best Flights.

If they were looking for something a little low key on the Coral Coast I would be recommending,  Rydges Hideaway resort  which is located 110 Km from Nadi Airport. The price is good at $1949, lunch and dinner can be purchased for a extra $213 per night. Booking is through Expedia.com.au

Conclusion to book these super price deals floating in the market they will need to be quick as they will start dry out!
