First class flights to be replaced

It would look like from all reports in the media and other travels sites that Qantas is very much considering removing its First class from its long haul flights in favour of economy seats as part of a $350 million overhaul.

First class airline travel will increasingly become a thing of the past in the wake of the global financial crisis, an aviation expert has said.

Is this a good thing for families that travel economy? Do you think Qantas will give Economy passengers more room now?

If Qantas are clever they should just distribute the space provide back into economy without adding extra seats, and promote more space and comfort and demand a slight increase to the fares to the costs over the aircraft to the average revenue they would get from a paid first class fare.

Will be interesting to see what would happen to those that do fly first.
