HomeExchange

Here is another great reason why home exchanges makes sense for holidays with the family.

My wife and I arranged an exchange with Diane and Ray in Leros, Greece last summer. We spent a week sailing on one of their boats in the Dodecanese Islands, and in exchange they will be staying at our ski lodge in Winter Park / Granby, Colorado, this winter. The trip to Greece was by far the coolest vacation I have ever taken. My only regret is that I didn’t have a better camera to take pictures with – the Aegean sea and its islands are absolutely beautiful!

My parents have done three exchanges in Carmel, California, and Cancun and North Baja, Mexico, and have really enjoyed their getaways.

Unfortunately, we made the mistake of telling all our friends about our exotic (free) vacations. Already, two of them have set up listings on homeexchange.com to exchange their own ski properties in Steamboat and Breckenridge, so in effect I have created my own competition!
