Resort Review: The Station, Jindabyne

Yes, all 6 fit into the car.. as well as our spacious room here at the Station

Is this the best value ski accommodation in NSW? Very possibly. I’ve heard mixed reports about The Station, but take it from someone who’s sampled a few 100 hotels with kids – this place is the best.

The Station, Perisher’s ski accommodation in Jindabyne, is possibly the best value accommodation I’ve ever stayed with my large family – and I’m not limiting that to ski resorts.

Sure it’s not brand spanking new (but seriously – what ski accommodation is in Australia?) but it is well kept, efficiently run, WARM, extremely spacious and it’s only a 20-minute drive to the Ski Tube at Bullocks Flat. What more could you need?

Depending on your budget (and availability) you can choose from a 2-bedroom unit or a single motel room – we tried both – and they both slept six of us comfortably (with no bunks).

The rooms have large flat screen TVs, fridge and tea/coffee, while the units also have a fully equipped kitchen. Not that you need it because the packages generally include buffet breakfast and dinner at the bistro. What kid doesn’t love a buffet? I’ve yet to met one.
