Travel Insurance, Australians at risk overseas

The results from the American Express survey is very surprising, one fact highlighted is 56% of travellers were likely to protect themselves by taking out travel insurance, what the!   This figure is still to low, if you are travelling overseas even if its to visit relatives one should still take out a basic cover of insurance. You certainly don’t want to be left with a bill to cover you against the hospital bills and emergency flights home because you contracted a rare strain of tropical fever and forgot to take out the travel insurance, that would be silly!

Please feel free to read the full story about the survey at smh.com.au via Travel insurance boom as Aussies get nervous.
