Football Fever Hits Crowne Plaza Darling Harbour for FIFA Fan Fest
Hundreds of thousands of football fans are expected to converge at Darling Harbour between dusk and dawn in June and July to watch live matches broadcast on giant screens as part of FIFA Fan Fest, the World Cup’s only official public viewing event in Australia.
Only metres from the big screens, on the city side of the precinct, Crowne Plaza Darling Harbour invites fans to avoid sleep deprivation and crowded public transport and stay overnight in a City View or Darling Harbour Precinct View room, from $188 per night.
Guaranteed wake-up calls will ensure guests don’t miss a minute of the action, while 24-hour room service from the hotel’s Body and Soul In-Room Menu will mean that no matter what time matches are being played, fans won’t go hungry.
World Cup supporters will also receive a complimentary gift pack containing refresher towels, bottled water, a muesli bar and lollies to get them ready for the early morning matches.
